Wild Azalea Hike

Event Date:
Tuesday, April 3, 2012 - 10:00

The Wild Azalea Hiking Trail flourishes in March and early April. The Flowering Dogwoods and Fringe Trees intertwine with the azaleas. There are variations of the Hoary Azalea (also known as the Mountain Azalea, Piedmont Azalea, and Bush Honeysuckle) and there are a few Orange Azaleas along this hike. The terrain is a bit steep so be cautious and watch your step. You will be amazed at the stone paths and stairways built so many years earlier.
